Handmade Doll/Plushie Gift Suggestions

It's hard not to enjoy a creative plushie or doll. I've put together some suggestions from etsy of some really adorable plush dolls that are perfect for gifting.

Happy Ninja by Needlings - These guys are tiny so you can stuff a whole lot of them in one stocking. Just be careful...they are ninjas after all.
Pinkie LeBlush The Pink Striped Sock Monkey by warmpersonality - Who said Sock Monkeys should all look the same. The cute little face on this gal is enough to capture anyone's heart.
Alice from Alice in Wonderland by alittlecatty - This is a made to order, but its absolutely beautiful! I love the eyes and the clothing is precious!
Kimono Kids Dolls (Savannah) by HopesArtCreations - I'm a big fan of all of these dolls. Each one has its own personality and I like how simple they are.
Crochet Cthulhu by pzpcreations - No plush collection should be complete without Cthulhu. Though is it really right that he's always so cute?
Dr Horrible The Sackboy by MiCrochets - We've all wanted to take over the world and it would be great to have a little buddy to help us out, don't you think? ^_^
Upcycled Felted Wool Beige Sleepy Owl by formydarling - No collection of plushies would be complete for Moony without at least one little owl. This set is adorable and I wish I could take them all home!

Do you have any other suggestions for plushies? Tell me about them. Do you make your own? I'd love to show the world. Don't be afraid. Comment or send me a message. ^_^

Shiva Twins: Final Fantasy XIII

It's really hard not to be a fan of the 101 incarnations of Shiva that appear throughout the Final Fantasy series. While XIII's incarnation isn't one of my favorites, this cosplay is definitely impressive.

The attention to detail and all of the amazing work that went into these costumes deserves a lot of praise. You can see more pictures and information about the cosplayer at her deviantart account.

Tomorrow night's the big night!

With everyone rushing to get their costumes together, I thought I'd put together some links to the amazing accessories that Noble Collection has been putting together that will make your costume complete.

In case you've already beaten the rush and started making costumes from the new movie, then you'll definitely want to get your hands on this necklace. To match Hermione's red dress, this is a cute y-shaped necklace with red crystals.

If you're a big fan of ball gowns and decided to make Hermione's Yule Ball dress, then you'll probably be interested in Hermione's pink flower earrings.

But if girlie dresses don't float your boat, and you've got more of a Dark flare, then perhaps you'd be more interested in Lucius Malfoy's walking stick. It goes perfectly with fur.

The Joy of Handmade

This holiday it's really easy to find good deals on fashion, jewelry, toys, and electronics. Look through all of the Black Friday ads that are popping up to start plotting your holiday shopping now.

But when it comes to giving gifts, do you really want to give something that everyone else is giving?

Handmade gifts are a great way to show your appreciation to your friends and family. Whether you take the time to create something special for your parents, or you find the perfect unique gift for your friends, having something different from the rest under the tree can set you apart from the crowd.

To help you out this holiday, I'll post links to some really amazing handmade items and stores. Feel free to send me any suggestions for items that I miss.

Death Eaters in Central Station?

These cosplayers look like they had a great time! With the movie only a few days away, everyone should share a little bit of Potter.

Deathly Hallows contest!

I just wanted to tell everyone that I am one of the sponsors for Confessions of a Bookworm's Deathly Hallows release giveaway!

Check it out here for your chance to enter and win lots of prizes ($50 gift certificate from my shop alone) :)

Wedding in Wonderland

recently, I was commissioned to create a wedding gown and three bridesmaids dresses

Here is a handful of photos of the lovely bride in her custom-made wedding dress

At the Bride's request, the dress was made out of a collection of cottons; a polka dot cotton, a straight white, an embroidered/quilted cotton and a delicate lace

The skirt consisted of 4 layers, each with unique detailing and a three part train and hand-pleated bustle. The bodice is fully lined and interfaced, made from the polka dot cotton and laces via brass grommets in the back

completion time: 40 hrs
